How long to you have to collect a debit card purchase?

How long to you have to collect on a debit or credit card purchase if it did not go through the system from the place you purchased your items at?|||It all depends on you bank mainly, or the company of your purchase. I go through bank of america and most of mine pend once card is swiped... others take up to 3 days. There was one time, and one time only, one charge took a month to show on my account and I think it was probably the stores fault there.|||,
