How long does it take to get a checking account & acquire a debit card under my parent's bank account?

I'm getting my first paycheck in a few weeks from my job %26amp; I really want to open a checking account so I can deposit money into my account %26amp; get a debit card. How long would it take to get a checking account %26amp; debit card?

Thank you :)|||Takes about 10 minutes at the bank to open a checking account

It will take about 7 to 10 days to get your debit card in the mail

(with your name on it)

By law, the 4 digit pin cannot be sent on the same day, so you will receive it a day or two later|||You will have to take your check to a bank, open an account in YOUR name. The bank will then give you starter checks, and they will order the debit card %26amp; pre-printed checks and mail them to you in about 2 weeks. You will not be able to get an account or debit card under your parents bank account.|||1. You CAN'T open an account 'under your parent's bank account'. You CAN open a NEW account with your parents as cosigners.

2. Opening the account in person takes about 5 minutes. The debit card is produced offsite and mailed to your address. Expect the card itself is about 5 business days and the PIN about 5 days later. They are ALWAYS mailed separately to prevent anyone stealing your mail from getting both.
