How do i get a debit card?

So I am wanting to get a debit card, but i don't know how to do this. Can someone please explain the process of getting a debit card to me? Thanx in advance!|||Just sign up for a checking account at a bank and ask for a debit card.|||Wow.... you must very young if you don't know how..

You need a savings or checking account. Most banks require that you have several thousand in your accounts.

If you have this in place already, go to your bank and apply for a debit card.|||www.wiredplastic.com|||If you have a checking or savings account at your local bank, they should be able to issue you one.|||go to a bank to open a checking account. they will give you a debit card.|||Hi! Usually when you set up a checking account with a bank or credit union they automatically give you one. Or they'll at least ask you upon opening the account. Thats how I got mine. Hope that helps.|||Most banks will issue you a debit card if you open a checking account with them. Remember, a debit card withdraws money from your checking account as you use it, as opposed to a credit card, in which the issuing bank is basically loaning you the money which you promise to pay back|||A Bank|||in what COUNTRY?|||if you have a bank account, just go to your bank and ask to see an advisor. ask them about getting a debit card for your account.

some ATM cards can be used as debit.|||Go to the bank and ask they will tell you everything you need to know. Tell themn that you are looking to set up a debit account. anybank will do...|||Lexi is right.|||Go open up a checking account for your local bank. They usually have age limit but your parents can sign for you. This way you can start building credit and not have to carry cash all the time.

Start slow and be wise and keep track of how much you spend. Don't bounce checks either; hefty fees.

Good luck.. talk to your mom or dad first :)|||Choose a bank and open a checking account. They will send you a debit card in the mail.|||A debit card is issued by your bank and is 'attached' to your checking and/or savings account. So ask your bank for one.

Just remember, because it is connected to your checking/savings account, the money will come out IMMEDIATELY - it is NOT the same as a credit card, where you are billed monthly. It's very easy to forget to record one transaction and then have to pay heavy fees to the bank because you are overdrawn.|||IF you have a checking (or savings) account they should offer you one for free. Without a bank account you can get a prepaid card at most cash advance places (check n go) for a small fee. Also any bank can offer you a prepaid card. I believe its a small charge also like 5.00 for the card and 3.00 for every recharge at my bank others are slightly more or less but from what I understand that is around average. If you dont understand a debit card its best to get a prepaid visa or m/c. GOOD LUCK!|||I sell them for $6.00
