How long does a refund take to be credit back to a debit card?
I used my debit card to pay for a class this summer at school, but I had to drop it before it began. I get 100% of the refund since I dropped it before the class started, but I was just wondering how long it would take that money to be credited back onto my account?|||Immediately! After you canceled your class attendance position - your account should be credited. Set up on line maintenance w/your bank, its easy.
Can you split a traffic court ticket payment between cash and a debit card?
If a fine were say $350 would it be possible to pay $200 on a debit card and the rest in cash?|||that would be up to the court .. but the bottom line is they want the money so yes they might|||Not every court in the world has the same policies. If you are in the u.s. and in a city bigger then a wee village, it is probably fine. If you really want to know, call the court and ask the clerk. The number is in the phone book and probably on the ticket.|||The only way to get the correct answer to your question is to call the court where you will be paying this fine and ask them.
The city court here would not allow this. The state court would not allow this. Cash, check, Mastercard only at the city court, cashiers check, money order. One payment, not split.
Time to call and find out for sure.

What shows up on a debit card bill for a Corbin Fisher account? ?
I need to know what the transaction description comes up as for a billing to a debit card for a payment on a Corbin Fisher account. For example when you use a debit card at starbucks, the transaction description when you check your account online is something like MC-STARBUCKS USA ####### CITY NAME, and for a charge on amazon it comes up as simply AMAZON.COM. Does anyone know?|||Most gay porn site payments are made through CCBILL. So that probably is what it should be written on your credit card account.|||You should search the Corbin Fisher website and read their FAQ section, as this is a common question that comes up. But for your benefit, I will post a copy of their answer for you.

What happens if I use my debit card for something that costs more than I have on the card?
My work gives me a debit card instead of a paycheck, by the way.
Yeah, let's say I have 9 dollars on my debit card and what I want is 15 dollars..will it just take the 9 dollars and pend until I get paid again? What happens?|||Using a debit card, you can only spend what is available, so the (say) 15 dollars must have been in the account, unless you have an overdraft facility in place.|||It depends on how you have instructed your bank to deal with insufficient funds. I have mine reject the card. If I wouldn't, my bank would then charge me for insufficient funds and pay the debit if it was within a certain amount. They will also charge interest for the money they loaned me. Every time the bank tries to collect the money, I would get another charge. It can build up to quite a bit of $. I don't think I like the idea of a debit card for a paycheck. It would be difficult to keep track of the balance.|||It'll get declined unless there's overdraft protection on the account attached to the card. Over draft protection comes with additional fees|||Most likely it will decline the payment

Do I need to call customer service and cancel this inactivated debit card? If yes, then how urgent? Sorry for too many questios but Thank you so much for your response!|||Generally you need to activate the card from your home number. How long does it take for a check to be activated in a debit card?
This is my first time getting a debit card and it is a high school checkings account and i need help understanding how it works. I don't want to go into overdraft and I deposited my pay check from work on friday the 12 do you think that if I bought something now i would go into overdraft because i only have 15 dollars left in the card before i deposited my pay check. Today is Monday the 15 of august please help!|||Some banks will give the date the money is made available on the receipt they give you when you make the deposit. Setting up an online account is important so that you can stay on top of your finances and more importantly make sure that there is no fraudulent activity. Debit cards have less protection than credit cards when information is stolen. If you are worried about overdrawing your account you should check to see if your bank will link a savings account that will automatically withdraw from that account when your funds in the checking have gone too low. Of course you will have to fund that account but you should get in the habit of putting something away for savings. Later in life when you are out on your own the habit of savings will help you stay out of trouble in the credit world if that savings is kept for emergencies.|||Do you have online access to your checking account? If so, go look at it and see what your AVAILABLE balance is. If your work check has not cleared yet, then you can not spend more than the $15 you had on the card. The card will either be declined or, they will let it go through but charge you a fee. That fee could be as much as $35. Not worth waiting until your check clears your bank account.
If you do not have online banking, call the # on the back of the card and do a balance inquiry. Make sure you ONLY pay attention to what they say your AVAILABLE balance is! Pending balances cannot be used to pay for things until they clear! This is how a lot of people get into trouble with their bank account and overdraft.|||Just call or llike the other person said check online. It should tell you, your balance and available balance. don't spend money until you're sure the check has gone through.
